Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our Cedar Rapids installation team. This full-time position offers hands-on experience in the solar industry with opportunities for advancement. You’ll work closely with licensed electricians and solar technicians to install and maintain solar PV systems safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation of electrical components for residential and commercial solar systems

• Support journeyman/master electricians with conduit runs, wiring, and panel connections

• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA standards on job sites

• Use hand and power tools to complete electrical tasks

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors

• Travel to local job sites as needed

Requirements:

• Enrollment in or intent to join an Iowa Registered Electrical Apprenticeship program (we can assist)

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools

• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on rooftops or ladders in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in electrical, roofing, or solar installation a plus

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a bonus (training available)
