Position Summary:
SolQ is hiring a full-time Solar Roof Installer to join our Cedar Rapids field team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely and efficiently installing solar panel systems on residential rooftops. You’ll work with an experienced crew to ensure installations are completed to company and code standards, while representing SolQ’s values of professionalism, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Install racking systems and solar panels on residential rooftops

• Use hand and power tools to complete roofing and mounting tasks

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite

• Follow installation plans, jobsite safety procedures, and team instructions

• Assist with loading and unloading materials and tools

• Communicate clearly with team leads and project managers

• Operate safely at heights and in various weather conditions

Requirements:

• Comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in elevated environments

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and carry equipment regularly

• Strong attention to detail and safety

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in roofing, construction, or solar installation

• Familiarity with fall protection and OSHA safety standards

• OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Experience with power tools and basic construction skills
